Martin worked for the Texas Center for Disability Studies from 1997 to 2000. UT TCDS then contracted with Chris and Martin's Phantom Productions, Inc. to provide those same services from 2000 to 2017 providing systems support and media production.

The TCDS (previously called the UAP) moved from the UT Education building to UT leased offces on Stone Lake. At that location the IT room was the only space available for Martin's editing equipment. UT said Martin's occupying that office meant TCDS would need to provide their own IT services. Martin became the IT person which helped his later work with Cortex Interactive.The TCDS staff was later moved to the UT Commons/J.J. Pickle Center on Burnet Road. Martin was officed across from the Texas Advanced Computing Center.

04/17/97 Lumberman's Association of Texas Annual Convention for Lumberman's Association of Texas
DPM entertainment for the Lumberman's Association. The circus theme included Caesar the elephant. Chris arranged for the elephant to be driven over to the San Antonio zoo for lunch. Nothing like taking an elephant to lunch.
