 On 02/14/85 Martin flew to El Paso for regional visit. Chris flew into El Paso on 02/15/85. CM & Mary Ann State Line Steaks & Cuelo Vista Mall.

02/20/85 Met James Mikulenka & looked in Sunset Canyon - James told us that he knew a house that was just what we’d described, however it had been sold. We signed an initial contract on 624 Canyon View Road. The seller declined and we were preparing a second offer.

02/24/85 Diane’s brunch for Jane, Kathleen. Went with James to take offer to Sunset Canyon. James said he wanted to show us the house that had sold and was just what we described. As we came up to 11051 Tangleridge Circle, a realtor was putting out a new "For Sale" sign. This was so much closer to Austin and made our music business more viable, plus work travel to Tx DHS so much easier.
We bought the home and learned later that Bev and Don (good neighbors/close friends) who bought behind us, had attempted unsuccessfully to buy out our contract.
Amazing timing, luck and serendipity! Chris fixed ribs for supper.
02/25/85 Lunch with Don Grefe - met with James - Tangleridge Circle house was built by Savio & Peck for the Savio family and they changed their mind, put it up for sale and the first buyer couldn’t qualify.
Our financing with Untied would be 12.5% with builder paying 4.75 discount Price of home $535,200

Mom with Ned Kelly and BBC production team on the Hess Ranch for film segment of the BBC production "Making of the Continents" Mom went to England (on Chris & Martin's honeymoon - Nov 3 to Nov 16, 1985) and traveled to Bristol (Nov 7) where she watched some of the editing and was then shown the entire movie). Mom was credited for her part in accessing the Hess ranch for the BBC enabling that segment.
