Taffie
February 2, 2002 - November 5, 2020
Taffie was a very special horse. She was a kind and gentle soul, who loved human company, probably more than that of other horses. A friend of mine told me that she knew of a horse that was looking for a good home and when I first saw her I was struck by her beautiful face, and her kind eyes.
Her registered name was Tuffy’s Teardrop, but I decided she was not a tuffy, so I renamed her Taffie which, in Scotland, means beloved. I thought this was very fitting.
I was lucky to have her for five years. I miss her very much, but I knew that I made the right choice when she recently developed laminitis/founder in addition to several other health problems that she developed last year.
Martin took lots of photographs, so I have many good and beautiful memories of our times together.
