Mission Statement, History and current status

Phantom Productions, Inc., from its inception in 1964, has been totally committed to enabling the development of music talent. Presently we are archiving many of the productions we produced over the years. Some of these are presently on YouTube.

Phantom facilitated Texas musician's exposure internationally at MIDEM. The company formed a partnership with David Perkoff Music and with David, Chris booked entertainment for corporations and organizations for 27 years, retiring in December 2019.

Phantom continued providing media and IT services to clients wrapping down the end of 2020. Some web services continue for several clients and our own Museum of Magnetic Sound Recording.

MOMSR goal is to create and maintain an on line resource dedicated to the research, acquisition, restoration and preservation of vintage sound recording devices, their inventors, manufactures, engineers, documentation and history. The Museum will also serve as an educational resource for those interested in the sound recording industry and its impact on music, broadcasting, film/video and science.

Update June 20, 2022: After five years of working to create the MOMSR non-profit museum, the entity was dissolved due to lack of funding support. The collection was downsized to 115 reel tape recorders and all the mics were retained. Phantom's UT TCDS contract ended in 2017 and the Family to Family Network's Texas Project First web contract ended in 2018 with some minor assists afterwards. The end of 2018 Chris retired from David Perkoff Music after 29 years of entertainment booking. She occasionally fills in when David is unavailable. Martin through Phantom Productions, Inc. still supports EveryChildTexas with hosting services. Otherwise Chris looks after our home and property, cares for our German Shepherd Sophie and rides Margarita when she can. I'm scanning our physical scrapbooks to make them more accessible; updating the momsr.org web sites; maintaining the museum and when possible, updating the 50 videos that are available about the vintage recording collection. I still volunteer with both the Bastrop Police and Sheriff's departments, although not as often. So lots of changes. Cheers! Martin
