Margarita
Chris and Margarita met in August of 2021 and Chris bought her on September 10, 2021. Chris wrote a check for cash to pay the owner and the credit union check noted for "Margarita," which surprised the teller. "That's a lot for a Margarita!"
Margarita passed away on July 21, 2024. There was a storm on July 18th and its possible she injured herself due to a close lightning strike. Over the next several days Chris noticed Margarita was having difficulty moving, especially her back legs. She was given medicine, but it didn't help. On Sunday the 21st, Margarita fell down and was unable to get up. The vet and friends Barbara and Jeannie tried unsuccessfully to raise her. The vet and Chris decided she needed to be relieved of her pain. Chris said she knew it was the right decision. For the three years Margarita was in Chris' care, she had the best life a horse could possibly have!
